Bus Ministry Donations
If you have items that you would like to donate for the bus ministry garage sale, you may drop them off at Jordan's Place Pediatrics (1317 Hillcrest), Monday - Friday, during business hours. We will have another sale in the fall to raise funds in support of the bus ministry.
Happy Mother’s Day! I would like to wish every lady a Happy Mother’s Day this weekend. I’d also like to share some words with you by a mother who works in the office, Felicia Deaton:
"Even if you don’t have children of your own, you likely “mother” somebody. You might be a teacher in a classroom, a youth or children’s worker, or maybe you teach a Sunday School class. You might be a foster parent, a school bus driver, or the very best aunt a kid could ask for! You could be a stay-at-home mom or have a career outside of your home. Either way, you are a mom or a mentor and we honor and celebrate you!
As a church, we want to point you to the One who will help you along the way, the Lord Jesus Christ. In Isaiah 40:11, the end of the verse says this: ….(He) shall gently lead those that are with young. Wow. Did you catch that? Our God, the Creator of all the universe, will be with us as we lead our children. What a promise!
We won’t always get it right, and we are going to make our fair share of mistakes along the way. Thankfully, we have our Shepherd walking before us and gently leading us, as we mother our children and serve those who have been placed in our lives.”
Thanks for those words, Felicia. And again, Happy Mother’s Day to all of our ladies.
